Responsibilities

  • In this role you will be responsible primarily for undertaking mobile network drive-testing for our clients, using various drive-testing equipment and tools. You will receive comprehensive training in the equipment and tools, and on the creation of required reports. You will collect data out in the field on your own, across the UK, and you will create the reports for clients. You will be based in the UK (West London), and work with our teams in the UK and in our Cairo Technology & Customer Support Centre.
  • Able to set up the telecoms drive testing equipment and troubleshoot if there are any issues.
  • Collect data and assess and interpret if there are any failures and follow the correct troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ensure high-quality work is delivered on schedule for internal review, before being delivered by you to clients.
  • Maintain good relationships with the client and their contractors.
  • Be responsible for customer satisfaction throughout the whole project.
  • Observe other needs the client has which align with services which Digis Squared offer – identify additional business opportunities.

Skills & experience

  • You must be based in the UK, and have the existing right to live and work in the UK. *If you do not have this, do not apply.*
  • The test vehicle to be used is based in West London.
    • The drive-testing will be across the UK.
    • We pay for overnight accommodation and subsistence.
  • No “field engineering” experience is needed – comprehensive training will be given – however, if you have this experience already that will be very useful.
  • Degree in Engineering or an IT-related area.
  • Full UK Driving License, and strong competence in driving.
  • Strong skills in use of laptop and Microsoft Office, and strong ability to learn new software and hardware.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills. Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong report writing skills – formatting of documents, handling of images and text, analysis of data to provide easily understandable commentary on test results.

Salary range

This is a full-time role, Monday – Friday.

£25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
