Main accountabilities

In this role you will manage networks and nodes within the Packet Switched domain and Evolved Packet Core of our customers This includes,

  • 2nd Level Assurance Support Activities
  • 2nd Level Incident Management
  • 2nd Level System Administration activities
  • 2nd Level Incident/Problem Management activities
  • Provide preventive maintenance and performance management
  • Provide input, implement and verify improvements in processes
  • Verify and implement configuration changes
  • Assist with Problem Management
  • On regular base covering the 7×24 Call-out responsibility


Technical skills

Minimum experience – do not apply if you don’t have this,

  • Significant Oracle Revenue Management experience
  • Experience and expertise in Catalog and Order Management domain
  • Lead Architect experience in sophisticated Telecom IT Transformation Projects preferably in Catalog and Order Management, Charging System and other BSS Solutions
  • Experience and expertise in all phases of a system integration project life cycle with DevOps/Agile experience
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Portuguese is a plus


Additionally, you have/you are,

  • Written and spoken Portuguese is an advantage
  • Analyze and break down strategies into architectural capabilities in the pre-study phase
  • Translate requirements to a cost-efficient solution architecture
  • Architecture compliance and apply best practices throughout the complete solution lifecycle
  • Implement architectural knowledge and EA patterns for the delivery of large SI projects
  • Troubleshooting / configuration / traffic measurements / performance of IN network You will act on network and relevant equipment problems escalated from the surveillance function
  • System problems are to be identified and escalated to corresponding system support units
  • The IN Engineer keeps the SW/HW and TR status under control
  • Improving procedures and routines within the NOC
  • Responsible for any changes introduced to the network or to any to any changes made to methods, processes or procedures, whether internal or external
  • Ensuring and keeping the performance of the network at the highest possible level by ensuring that problems / degradations are handled swiftly, that relevant performance parameters are monitored interpreted and highlighted if deemed necessary
  • Solve and correct service and network problems according to agreed timing and standards set
  • Provide the IN Team Leader/Manager with reports of work done daily & co-operate fully
  • Attend in technical meetings responsible for IN/BSS team activities
  • Should make creation and improvements to procedures and routines within the department / group

  • Excellent knowledge of the network topology, its traffic handling capabilities and traffic characteristics
  • Basic knowledge on Routing/Traffic Routing/ Nodes integration/ Triggering Tables
  • Should be able to understand performance report
  • Good experience in CSR handling
  • Should have experience of HW & SW up-gradation
  • Good knowledge of all network elements and their main characteristics
  • Good / excellent knowledge of the Core Network management system functionality and application use, (surveillance, performance, configuration)
